I have a question regarding the analysis of my data in Dawarich.
Is it currently possible to select or mark a specific area on the map and retrieve a list of every single GPS point recorded within that area, including the timestamp/date?
To clarify: I am not looking for “Visits”. I am interested in the raw GPS points that I have imported via OwnTracks or Google Timeline.
I find this would be incredibly helpful to figure out exactly when I was at a specific location in the past, even if I was just passing through.
If this functionality doesn’t exist yet, could this be considered as a feature request?
Thanks for your help and for this great application!
Right now, there is no such functionality, the closes to it is selecting an area on map V1 (in V2 it works a bit differently): in side panel it will show you list of all visits (not from db but actual data calculated based on points in the selected location across all the time).
On the screenshot, the “Data in selected area” includes data calculated from actual raw points, while “Visits” includes specifically visits from the DB.
Thanks for the explanation regarding the difference between V1 and V2.
I would be extremely grateful if you could implement the area selection functionality in Map V2 as well. Being able to query all GPS points in a specific area is incredibly helpful I think.
It allows me to identify not just recorded “Visits”, but also “pass-throughs”. Seeing the raw data/points in a selected area provides much more context than just seeing the stops.
