Incorrect points due to A-GPS switching

Using the Dawarich app on Android. If I leave it tracking and I’m stationary indoors the phone switches to A-GPS which uses cell towers for location this results in a lot of false points as the phone pings between cell tower location and GPS location. Is there a way to prevent this?

We’re filtering some of such points in the app, and Dawarich have server-based anomaly detection, so you may want to tweak in the map settings. More improvements will follow in our mobile apps in the future

Thanks. What options can I tweak in map settings?

Look for “GPS Noise Filtering” settings and below it. You may need to recalculate your data (a button below)

It would be really nice if the dawarich app had some better noise filtering. This is pretty useless. I never saw this many jumps with the OwnTrack client.

An improvement could also be to use the movement detection on the phone to pause upload when no movement is detected.
