I’ve been using the self-hosted version of Dawarich for about a month. Since day one, I had been using the old app (for some reason, I never noticed there was a new one). Aside from the occasional navigation drift indoors, I was happy with everything.
Yesterday, I discovered the new app and installed it immediately. Ever since I installed it, I’ve been hating both the app and the project. Even though I’ve granted all the required permissions, it doesn’t run reliably in the background. Sometimes it doesn’t even record nodes while the app is open/on the screen and I’m actively moving around. It also never uploads automatically when it reaches the node threshold I’ve configured. Even though it’s set to upload every 100 nodes, I always end up having to manually press Upload when it has accumulated around 700–800 nodes.
With the old app, there were times when I wouldn’t even open it for days. Now I have to check it every hour to make sure it’s actually working.
