# How to find which app or device is creating double tracks

Hi everyone,

While searching for a way to visualize my old GPS-Tracks from back in 2004 untill now I found Dawarich which I host on my own server in a docker container at home. First of all: Thank you for the great work! I have been testing it extensively for the last 3 Weeks or so. After having imported all old tracks I then tried the “live-logging” feature. As data source I first tried Owntracks, the official Dawarich app and the Community dawarich, along with others. That as well on my phone and on my tablet (both Android).

Because how I tested until now I experience some problems that the track has been logged twice what messes up the statistics (driven km for example). I thinke I read somewhere tha Dawarich shoud automatically discard double tracks. Any idea why it doesnt?

For today I now tried to switch off all data-sources except the official Dawarich app on my phone. That worked great untill somewhen in the afternoon where I sudenly got 2 tracks as well:

Not shure what exactly hapened there and why it ran perfectly before. I think there is a second app still sending data but I cant find anything obvious. Is there a way to find out which point came from which device and which app?

The second problem I have: Mostly while stationary (but not always) I get some weird locations far away from my real position:

At least the stationary points I think they are generated by the Phone after taking a Photo. It seems like the GPS is not ready yet and in the first moment a Phone-Cell Location is used…Just an assumption, not shure about that doh.

To make it short: How can I fix this 2 problems?
