Right now I can join ONE family and share my location with everyone there. I cant share to some people only to a group. Also one on one sharing could only be done with a share link, not in the app or a permanent share like with family.
For example User joins family and is happy sharing the location to the family. admin of the family adds another user and family is not happy anymore. Different family members want to share to different other family members.
so, my proposal:
In family sharing, next to all members show a toggle “share my location”. also provide a toggle on top “share with all family members” which is set by default. if share with all family members is not set, when a new user joins the family the location is not shared yet. This covers the All ↔ All sharing issue and the “person gets added to family and others dont approve” part.
I would also like 1 ↔ 1 sharing, which could be started from the existing share location button on the web. It would just have another column where instead of generating a link, you can put a user/email and if they are a user, they get access to what you share.
